Osiris Funeral Management System

Product History:

Edward Towner is the Managing Director of A C Towner Ltd Funeral Directors, an independent, family-owned business established in 1875. In 1989 Edward commisioned the services of Roger Ash & Associates with a brief to produce a complete fully computerised funeral management system. The original system was designed to run on a PC server with a number of terminals attached.

On completion of the project Edward was so pleased with the software that he suggested to Roger that they set up a company to market the application to other Funeral Directors across the UK, and so Ash Towner Ltd. was born.

Ash Towner Limited: The Company was formed in 1991 by Roger Ash and Edward Towner, with the sole intention of supplying the Osiris™ Funeral Management System. At the time most funeral directors were not running any form of comuterised system, so gradually Ash Towner began to provide a full range of I.T. services, including the supply and installation of PC Systems, Printers and Peripherals. Ash Towner now trade as Osiris Systems, as most people have a better awareness of the Osiris brand name.

In 1992 Ash Towner supplied their first full system solution to Leverton & Sons of London. The system was fully networked and allowed Levertons to reduce their administration costs almost overnight. Leverton and Sons are still a client of Osiris Systems (Ash Towner) to this day, and now make use of the full range of services provided by Osiris Systems, including hardware supply, consultancy and support, and web design.

Neither Roger Ash nor Edward Towner are on the board of directors of Ash Towner, but both continue to work alongside Osiris Systems to develop the Osiris FMS application.
